During the lockdown caused by Covid-19, people (re)discovered baking as a favorite pastime. The whole of Flanders suddenly became one big Bake Off family: we started baking cakes, bread and pies like our lives depended on it. Stores ran out of flour and the nascent baking hype became a full-blown Bake Off mania.

In this ‘Bake Off @ Home’ edition, local celebrities competed against each other, this time from the comfort of their own kitchen. People like Bart Kaëll, Marleen Merckx, Annelien Coorevits and Xavier Taveirne took part in the series that brought the people some much-needed joy.

Viewers at home were encouraged to bake along and send in photos of their creations.
